José Fernando Muniz funda, em 2011, a FM PRODUÇÕES. A empresa participou dos principais eventos do mercado audiovisual no Brasil e no exterior. Entre eles: Marché du Film, no Festival de Cannes 2013/2015; Ventana Sur, 2013-2015; Festival de Berlim 2014/2015; Rio Content Market 2013-2016; Festival do Cinema de Montreal 2014; Festival Internacional de Cinema de Toronto 2014 e Roma Film Fest 2014.
Em 2015, produziu o curta-metragem “O Débito”, dirigido por Silvia Carvalho. O filme participou do Milan, Madrid e Miami Film Festivals.
A empresa co-produziu o longa-metragem “La Tierra Roja”, dirigido por Diego Martinez Vignatti e produzido pela Trivial Media da Argentina, PANDA FILMS e Entre Chien & Loup da Bélgica, distribuído internacionalmente pela Latido Films da Espanha e Imovision no Brasil. O filme foi apresentado no EFM do Festival de Berlim em 2015 e na Mostra Latina do Rio Festival, no mesmo ano.
Além disso, a FM Produções coproduziu, em 2015 com a KinoTV, o documentário “Cinema Novo”. Dirigido por Eryk Rocha, o filme ganhou o L’Oeil D’Or no Festival de Cinema de Cannes em 2016.
Em 2016, produziu o filme “Meu Mundial”, vencedor de três prêmios no Guadalajara Construye de 2017 (32º Festival Internacional de Cinema de Guadalajara). No mesmo ano, realizou o longa-metragem “Soundtrack”, estrelado por Selton Mello, Ralph Ineson e Seu Jorge. A produção será distribuída pela Europa Filmes e será lançada, simultaneamente no Brasil e nos Estados Unidos, em 2017.
